Randall Bryett
Randall Bryett grew up on the Sunshine Coast of Australia with some the worlds best fishing around every corner. He has worked in many aspects of the fishing industry including chasing the Giant Black Marlin at the prestigious Lizard Island. He is a avid fly fisherman who likes to find his own path. When not traveling he resides in Northern California with his wife Kate and their adopted cats.
An amazing thing happened to us on this trip while fishing with our
guide Peter "bubbles" Hearden . While fishing the flats we noticed
some dolphins thrashing on the surface. A large shinny fish was
sticking out the mouth of one before it casually tossed it in the air.
Downing rods & zooming over in the fishing skiff we realized it was
a permit .The dolphins seemed to be playing a full contact sports game
with this poor fella. As we came along side the match in progress
flipper dropped the ball it seems, I landed the permit by the tail and
it was game over. This fish was beat up pretty bad but the toughness
of these fish is shown in this video as watch the fish revived and
released.
