Peter Morse will be making a visit to the United States in May. As a guest of Sage, he will be touring their factory on Bainbridge Island, Washington before flying to Florida to fish for tarpon in the Keys and Homosassa. Peter is hoping to add some new fish species to the list in his quest to land 100 different species on the same Xi2 7 weight rod.

While in Washington state, Peter will me making an appearance at Sage where he will present a slide show to a group of professional guides from Silver Creek Outfitters Sun Valley Idaho. The presentation will cover everything Australia from trout to billfish.

Peter Morse is one of Australia’s best known fly fishermen. He was the presenter of the acclaimed television series “Wildfish”, is the author of several books, writes for many fishing publications on fly fishing and and also for national newspapers and magazines on travel and fly fishing and is a widely regarded photographer. He has been fishing for 45 of his 50 years, the formative years were spent in and on the waters of the Fiji Islands. He began fly fishing 30 years ago when he inherited some cane fly rods from his grandfather who had been a fly fishermen and “river keeper” for much of his life.

He has fished almost every corner of that great southern continent Australia, as well as New Zealand, New Guinea and the South Pacific for everything from brook trout to billfish. He is known these days as a saltwater fly fishermen but is just as comfortable on a small mountain stream as he is on a bonefish flat or up a barramundi creek. He is a very popular speaker on the club and show circuit with a great capacity to tell a story backed by his superb slides and his vast knowledge of that region. Peter currently holds several fly rod world records and is visiting the U.S. as a guest of Sage fly rods.
