Anyone who makes a habit of fighting big fish that make long, fast, blistering runs will appreciate this product. Actually, you won't just appreciate it, you'll swear by it!

During a morning trip for Bluefish and Stripers in New York this spring, I made the mistake of picking up a rod and reel loaded with a 300gr shooting head attached to a braided mono running line. In the heat of the moment, I failed to think about what that braid would do to my fingers when a big blue took off on me. Sure enough, when the time came I had a 1/8" deep, half-round cut across my middle finger. Luckily my guide had the Waterworks Stripper Glove and gave it to me to use for the remainder of the day. It would have been nice to have it before the injury, but it did keep me fishing for the rest of the day in relative comfort.

After returning home, I decided to invest $9.99 for my own Stripper Glove. This glove is great! The first and second fingers are extended well past the knuckle with a tight-fitting, yet extremely durable material. The back of the glove is form-fitting lycra that doubles as a great sunblocker, and the palm is made of a more durable material. A velcro strap secures the glove at the wrist and fits snug without excess strap material to get wrapped up in your fly line.

Score: 10/10
