Well what a huge 3 weeks of travel and adventure! The fishing was not as good as I have had but the friends and good times made up for that! I would like to thank a few folks whom made a great trip fantastic!!

Keith Robbins Salmon Guide for his usual great company and fun times as we fished the flats of Islamorada. A big shout out to my good friend Billy Pate for hosting me and Keith at his pad for a couple of days. Love the food at the Outback Steakhouse too Billy ! Thanks to Jake Jordan for picking me up and fishing for a hour or 2 at Bahia Honda Bridge and then depositing me at Parmers Resort And a really big thanks to my mate Jose Wejebe Spanish Fly for hosting me for a couple very wet windy days. Mate the Sashimi spot was great as was the food at the Square Grouper. I also made some great new friends Diana Rudolph is one and I hope she gets what she wants down in Australia. Diana if you read this shoot me a email.
After a quick turn around I ended back in San Francisco for a few days and worked a booth at the Alcatraz triathlon before jumping a plane with Kate to enjoy her parents 50th wedding celebrations in Livingstone Montana. If you do not know by now that Peter Van Gytenbeek is the Executive Director of the Federation of Flyfishers based in Montana you can check out the new website I have just linked here. Not wanting to waste a trip into Yellowstone Park I packed the 5 weight and did some fishing with Van and my brother in laws Tony and Richard whom are both excellent anglers like their sister and mother for that matter. We had a blast in the park and enjoyed some great food and fun at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge and Cabins. Yellowstone National Park is just such a amazing place with beauty that far exceeds anything I have seen on earth. After 6 years between visits I swear the wildlife has increased dramatically. I guess being there after the fire last trip might have some bearing but we saw all kinds of critters up close and personal while fishing. Including a visit by a Coyote whom did a bit of mousing right across the stream in the very field I was fishing. You have got to love traveling it gives the most rewarding experiences even if the fishing sometimes is not up to scratch!
I have posted a few pictures in the gallery of both locations. Not a lot photos taken on these trips as it was a kicked backed ride.
